What if Joy is our only job?

What if Joy is our only ‘job’?

I’ve been exploring this idea for many years after reading so many yoga texts and other books from great masters that speak to our true nature being joy.

It is said that when we follow the pull of our heart, we align with our true nature, joy and step into a beauty flow of life.

5 years ago I challenged myself to step massively outside my comfort zone and have my body painted gold for photos doing yoga poses. I had finally come to a place of love and acceptance with my body after years of mental health challenges and lack of love for my body. My heart was pulling me to celebrate & honour this inner transformation with an outward outrageous expression.

Shortly after this experience , I went through great expansion and much loss and grief and was challenged to stay with Joy.

I have realized it is in our most challenged times that cultivating Joy is most essential.

Fast forward 5 years and I have a richer, deeper experience with Joy. And flow presented me with the opportunity to go outside my comfort zone at a deeper level by choosing to put these gold photos in a gallery.

A key to alignment is being willing to continue to grow and expand our comfort zones, try new things and continually let go of what doesn’t serve us any more. Be it beliefs, people, patterns, habits etc

The take away Joy doesn’t mean you won’t experience challenges, loss or set back. It’s a state we can choose to experience when going through life’s ups and downs.

“Let your alignment with Well-Being be first and foremost, and let everything else be secondary. And not only will you have an eternally joyous journey, but everything you have ever imagined will flow effortlessly into your experience. There is nothing you cannot be or do or have—but your dominant intent is to be joyful. The doing and the having will come into alignment once you get that one down.” – Esther Hicks.

What brings you Joy even when experiencing challenges in life?
